The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Spain), an association that represents the sector of interactive advertising in digital media in Spain, ended 2008 in a very positive way with 126 associated companies, which has meant a 31% growth compared to 2007. IAB has created the brands IAB Thematic Breakfasts and IAB International Meetings” with the aim of offering debate and training meetings on online advertising, the first being exclusively for associates and the second being open and free for members. Research: IAB will strengthen its market research offer by offering, in addition to its classic Online Investment Study, a package of 5-6 additional reports on the main activities of the interactive sector. Working Groups: In 2009 IAB will have 9 working groups open to the participation of its associates: three newly created (Mobile, Search Engines, and Lobby) that join the six already active (Interactive Agencies, Advertising Formats, Online Media, TVi, Social Media and Audience Measurement).
IAB launches the IAB University, a range of courses focused on specific topics. These courses will be endorsed by the Instituto de Empresa (IE). One fact that confirms the growing interest of advertising companies in digital media advertising is the recent incorporation to IAB Spain of important companies, such as Movistar, Segittur, and Repsol.
